Profile of Kenton Synagogue Community

Our community is small but vibrant and provides the following activities:

• regular minyanim
• weekly Kabbalat Shabbat on Zoom
• our Rabbi's early Shabbat morning shiur
• summer Shabbat afternoon learning sessions
• regular social activities
• a book club
• Rosh Chodesh Songsters group [Ladies only]
• a working force for our Shul garden
• groups working for different charities
• events to celebrate the festivals and historic occasions, including Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Yom Yerushalayim, Yom Hashoah, and Holocaust Memorial Day
• Shabbaton lunches
• SNAK – Sunday Night at Kenton – a series of occasional talks on a variety of subjects
• Ivrit class (on Zoom)
• weekly Tea and Chat

Main working Groups:

• An active and productive Ladies Guild
• 'Care in Kenton' is our active welfare group, with 'Link' people who make regular contact with members
• ReJEWvenate is a large committee which organises most of the social events and works on ideas for raising our profile
• 'KKW5 Adult Learning' programme is unique as it incorporates five synagogues: Kenton, Kingsbury and Wembley United Synagogues together with Wembley Sephardi David Ishag Synagogue, and the Wembley Spanish and Portuguese Sephardi Synagogue
• A strong volunteer security team

We aim to make full use of our building. As well as our own activities, we host a weekly connect@Kenton club run by Jewish Care.
